Abstract |
While the concept of the n-Minute City has gained global attention, research on its domestic application remains limited, particularly
regarding its suitability for cities within the country. This study addresses this gap by focusing on Jinju City, aiming to identify the types of
Living Social Overhead Capital (Living SOC) facilities and evaluate their accessibility. The analysis included eight categories and fourteen
types of facilities, such as education, caregiving, medical services, sports, leisure, convenience, and transportation, with accessibility calculated
on a per capita basis. The average accessibility in Jinju City was 11.55 minutes, highlighting strong potential for achieving the 15-minute
city vision. However, accessibility to public libraries in the education category and public sports facilities in the sports category was found to
be inadequate, suggesting a need for additional provision and strategic relocation. These findings provide valuable insights for urban planning,
with the potential to improve the quality of life for citizens. |
