Abstract |
This study aims to propose a window-type liquid desiccant ventilation system and assess its applicability by analyzing dehumidification
performance under hot and humid summer conditions. A numerical model was developed to evaluate the system's dehumidification efficiency,
using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to simulate the heat and mass transfer during the absorption process. Validation results showed
strong correlations, with a determination coefficient R² of 0.95 for temperature and 0.99 for humidity ratio at the dehumidifier outlet. Based
on these findings, the numerical model for the window-type liquid desiccant system was established. A case study was conducted to
demonstrate the system's dehumidification performance under different ventilation conditions and its effectiveness for indoor humidity control. |
