Abstract |
This study developed a steel semi-circle connector to improve construction performance for connecting solid PC slabs and evaluated its
structural performance. For comparison, the structural performance of flat plate connectors was also assessed. The steel connectors were tested
for horizontal shear, horizontal tension, and vertical shear. Results showed that the flat plate connector outperformed the semi-circle connector
in all directions. However, when accounting for differences in resisting areas and material strengths, the semi-circle connector proved more
efficient. Additionally, the semi-circle connector demonstrated superior ductility ratio and energy dissipation capacity compared to the flat
plate connector. |
