Abstract |
In the event of a leakage issue in an apartment building, accessing building information promptly is crucial for a timely response. However,
fragmented information across the design, construction, and maintenance phases complicates information exchange and limits its utility. To
systematically address this problem, this study identified necessary information exchange requirements through three stages: literature review,
case studies, and expert interviews. The information was classified into four categories: general information, common information,
environmental factors, and space-based factors. A leakage defect repair process was developed, and space classification along with detailed
information exchange requirements were established based on the Construction Operations Building Information Exchange (COBie) and
Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) schemas. The identified information items required for leakage defect management were first mapped to the
COBie schema, and any items that could not be mapped were assigned to the IFC4.3 schema. Unmatched items were categorized under
Custom Property sets. This approach aims to facilitate a prompt response to leakage defects through seamless information exchange. |
