Abstract |
This study focuses on creating a systematic construction quality management checklist to address inter-floor noise issues stemming from
inconsistent practices in apartment construction. The checklist highlights critical areas such as slab flatness, material quality, and proper
installation of cushioning layers while defining clear responsibilities for clients, designers, contractors, and supervisors. Expert surveys and
interviews across construction firms identified key problems, including errors that caused sound transmission variations of up to 10 dB. Proper
quality management during construction is emphasized as essential for minimizing inter-floor noise. A 3D-visualized checklist was developed
to improve usability in the field, offering clear guidance for workers and facilitating better communication among diverse stakeholders,
including foreign laborers. The tool's 3D features enhance accessibility and comprehension of quality control measures. Professional validation
of the checklist addressed issues such as inconsistent slab leveling and improper cushioning material placement. By offering practical solutions
and actionable recommendations, this checklist aims to enhance construction quality management, significantly reduce inter-floor noise, and
advance residential construction standards. |
