Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to analyze the cognitive characteristics of CPTED facilities and the influencing factors of fear of crime through
an eye-tracking experiment using a goggle-type eye tracker in the Wonseong-dong Ansim Village project area in Cheonan-si, where the
CPTED project was implemented. The research results are summarized as follows. First, among CPTED facilities, the recognition rate was
high in the order of logo projectors, emergency bells, murals, and CCTV. This is believed to be influenced by lighting, maintenance, and
installation location. Second, among individual characteristics, single-person household, living in a complex apartment, and experiencing fear of
crime at night were found to affect fear of crime. Third, among the characteristics of the street environment, street disorder and sense of
danger, aging of buildings, D/H ratio by street, and streetlight ratio were found to affect the fear of crime, and among CPTED facilities, the
presence or absence of emergency bells and logo projectors were found to affect the fear of crime. This study is significant in that it
proposes a plan to increase the effectiveness of the project by analyzing the cognitive characteristics of CPTED facilities and the factors
influencing the fear of crime. |
