Abstract |
The seismic performance of modular buildings is crucial for high-rise structures, yet limited research has been conducted in this area. This
study proposes an analytical model for nonlinear analysis of modular buildings, incorporating experimental data from beam-column connections
of steel-PC composite modules. Using this model, nonlinear dynamic and static analyses are performed to assess the seismic performance of a
mid high rise steel-PC composite prototype modular building. The results indicate that the prototype demonstrates ductile behavior without
signs of brittleness, even at large displacements. Additionally, the story drift ratio under the design seismic load remains below the limits
specified by design codes. |
