Abstract This study examines the structural elements that led to the placement of bracket complexes in positions different from the column rows on the side of Bogwangjeon at Simwon Temple in Yontan (1374) and aims to clarify the characteristics of its construction plan. First, the arrangement of columns and bracket complexes is analyzed to understand their spatial relationship within the floor plan. Next, the composition and characteristics of Ga-ang and Hut-angmi, derived from the Ha-ang system, are explored to reveal the architectural manipulation intended during the construction process. Finally, a comprehensive analysis of these findings discusses the construction plan of late Goryeo-era multi-bracket style architecture as applied to Bogwangjeon at Simwon Temple in Yontan. The Bogwangjeon was constructed by referencing the formalized system of Ha-ang installation found in Goryeo-era dapo style architectures, which decisively influenced the spatial planning and arrangement of bracket complexes that define Ga-ang and Hut-angmi.
