Abstract The purpose of this study is to present an efficient motivation plan to promote the professional consciousness and work desire of architectural designer. As a result of conducting this study, the following conclusions were obtained. 1) The level of job motivation of architectural designer was found to be quite low overall, and female architectural designer were found to be at a lower level than male architectural designer. 2) The main factors that reduce the job motivation of architectural designer are generally consistent with the items with higher needs and those that need intensive improvement, and the factors are incentives and wages, shorter working hours, benefits, opportunities to learn new things, and work discretion. This study was conducted to identify the level of job motivation for architectural designer and to suggest ways to improve the factors that deteriorate job motivation. However, this study has limitations in that it did not present specific improvement methods for the deterioration factors and did not compare and analyze the level of motivation with construction manager and construction engineer at the construction site. In the future, follow-up studies will be conducted on this.
