| Abstract |
In this study, along-wind loads are generated using the along-wind fluctuating wind speed spectrum from KDS 2022, and inelastic dynamic
analyses of a single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) system are conducted to investigate the influence of post-yield stiffness ratio and yield
strength of the system on its inelastic dynamic response. The results of the elastic analysis show that the resonance response displacement
ratios for 28A and 42C range from 0.17 to 0.29 and from 0.24 to 0.28, respectively. It was observed that as the resonance component
displacement ratio increases, the inelastic response tends to become larger. The nonlinear dynamic analysis results indicate that the residual
displacement is more likely to exceed the Continuous Occupancy performance objective than the maximum displacement. In addition, for 28A,
both the residual displacement and the ductility demand were found to have the potential to exceed the performance objective. |
