| Abstract |
This study defines the memorial museum as an 'intentionally directed space of public memory.' To analyze this, an analytical framework is
presented based on nine codes derived from a theoretical review: PGS (Point of view, Scene grammar, Sensory system). Utilizing this
framework, 20 international memorial museum cases that fulfill the three functional IMR elements were selected and analyzed, from which
six types-(1) Immersive Descent, (2) Contemplative Emptiness, (3) Narrative Sequence, (4) Participatory Forum, (5) Symbolic Unmaking, and
(6) Liminal Threshold.- of directorial space were derived. The results of this study indicate that while the derived types do not directly
correspond to the event's theme, significant tendencies exist. This suggests that preferred directorial strategies may be chosen to convey
specific themes, rather than being strictly determined by them. |
