| Abstract |
This study examines the urban regeneration of Jinan City, China, from the perspective of urban acupuncture theory. The purpose is to
identify how small-scale, point-based interventions can effectively address the decline of old urban districts while preserving historical and
cultural heritage. Methodologically, the research combines literature review, case studies of three representative projects (Olympic Sports
Center, Furong Street-Baihuazhou Complex), and resident surveys. The findings demonstrate that urban acupuncture contributes to sustainable
regeneration by enhancing functionality, promoting community participation, and respecting local urban contexts. The study highlights the
theoretical contribution of adapting urban acupuncture to the Chinese context and provides practical insights for sustainable urban renewal
strategies in historic Asian cities. |
