| Abstract |
In contemporary society, In contemporary society, apartment complexes are no longer limited to collective residential functions. As lifestyles
have changed, they have become private settings for individual lives while also assuming a shared role as urban spaces connected to the
broader community. This study examines the social role of public pedestrian passages within residential complexes, based on the concept of
modern publicness, which highlights the need to reconsider traditional understandings of public space in today’s society. In addition, the study
explores the evolving concept of the living sphere and the everyday experience of walking, focusing on the potential of public spaces within
residential complexes, particularly pedestrian passages, to function as everyday living spaces. |
