| Abstract |
This study analyzed the perception level and satisfaction of elderly residents in public rental housing in Seoul regarding safety signage, along
with differences based on age and the use of mobility aids. The results showed that color contrast, form simplicity, and installation height
significantly influenced satisfaction, and the perception level varied statistically across housing complexes. While CCTV signage attributes did
not have a significant effect on satisfaction, the color, form, and location of building·unit number signage showed significant effects. Gender
did not affect satisfaction, whereas mobility aid use and age influenced satisfaction with certain signage types. Therefore, future signage
planning should incorporate high color contrast, simple and clear forms, installation heights suitable for the elderly’s eye level, and systematic
maintenance. |
