| Abstract |
This study analyzes the effect of economic status on the willingness to live continuously in five Jjokbang villages, Seoul. Using a survey
method, we define the dependent variable was defined by 'intention to continue living in the Jjokbang', and the independent variables are
largely set as demographic characteristics(age, gender), social-economic characteristics(type of employment, monthly income), and
housing/neighborhood satisfaction. The binary logistic model was used to identify the relationship between the working status and the
willingness to live continuously in the current residence. The results showed that there was a difference in the willingness to live
continuously in Jjokbang between public employment and private employment. More specifically, in case of public work rather than private
work, the willingness to live continuously in Jjokbang decreases, and hense the possibility to move up to other housing types might expect
to increase. Based on these findings, it is necessary to prepare a policy to expand the supply of jobs tailored to each stage of the working
ability of residents in Jjokbang. |
