Abstract This study is a proactive research effort to develop a solution that automatically detects discrepancies between P&ID and BIM for improving construction integrity in high-tech facilities such as semiconductor FAB. First, we analyzed and categorized discrepancy cases reported during the AFC (Approved for Construction) phase. We then proposed the necessary modeling guideline and details for P&ID and MEP BIM, and finally, to align the model specification, model resolution and system context between P&ID and MEP BIM, we proposed logic and conditions of P&ID2NET and BIM2NET model transformation suitable for domestic high-tech construction sites.
