| Abstract |
This study analyzes changes in the tensile performance of polyurea-based waterproofing materials caused by long-term thermal degradation.
Currently, research on the life-cycle quality and durability of these materials under prolonged deterioration remains limited, and standardized
evaluation methods are still insufficient. To address this issue, a polyurea membrane coating that meets the Korean Industrial Standard is
selected and its tensile strength and elongation are evaluated over a 12-month period under simulated deterioration conditions. The aim is to
predict long-term durability, establish a basic performance database, and examine material behavior under environmental stress. The results
show a continuous decline in tensile performance as thermal exposure increases. In particular, the membrane exhibits high vulnerability under
elevated temperature conditions. It is further confirmed that tensile performance gradually deteriorates to the point where it no longer satisfies
the requirements of the Korean Industrial Standard. |
