| Abstract |
This study proposes a bolted vertical connection for precast concrete shear walls and evaluates its structural performance through experimental
testing. The proposed connection improves constructability by using bolted joints and achieves structural continuity by connecting the
longitudinal reinforcement of the lower wall to steel connecting components. To verify its performance, one monolithic specimen and two
precast specimens incorporating the proposed connection were fabricated and tested under cyclic lateral loading. Based on the test results, the
load-displacement response, effective stiffness, energy dissipation capacity, and strain behavior of the longitudinal reinforcement were
evaluated. The precast specimens achieved approximately 95 percent and 89 percent of the performance of the monolithic specimen,
demonstrating that the proposed connection provides sufficient load-carrying capacity. In addition, the influence of connection details on wall
behavior and structural performance was investigated through a detailed comparison under various loading conditions and connection
configurations. |
