| Abstract |
The physio-mechanical properties of low-cost ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) designed using locally available materials were
evaluated for field-cast applications. Comprehensive experiments were conducted to examine workability, air content, and mechanical
properties, including compressive strength, elastic modulus, flexural strength, splitting tensile strength, and direct tensile strength. Hydration
heat and total shrinkage strain were also measured. The spatial distribution of steel fibers and its influence on mechanical performance were
assessed using X-ray computed tomography imaging. The improved performance of the designed UHPC was experimentally confirmed. These
findings support the potential use of cost-effective, field-cast UHPC produced with locally available materials. |
