| Abstract |
This study investigates the structural performance of cold-formed steel (CFS) systems through experimental testing and numerical analysis.
The study focuses on self-drilling screw connections and structural members in a non-welded stud system. Experimental results demonstrate
that increasing the number of screws enhances shear capacity beyond existing design predictions. Structural member tests highlight the
influence of reinforcement and member configuration, while three-dimensional frame and truss systems exhibit stable load redistribution
behavior and enhanced structural stability. Numerical analyses using ABAQUS and MIDAS showed good agreement with the experimental
results in terms of load?displacement behavior and failure modes. In addition, a practical structural application example confirmed stable
structural responses and reasonable load transfer behavior of the proposed system. The results provide useful insights into the structural
behavior and applicability of non-welded CFS stud systems for structural performance evaluation and engineering design. |
