Title A Study on Radiant Heat Exchange between the Human Body and its Surroundings in Radiant Heating System of Low-Temperature

Abstract A lot of environment engineers indicate that generally, radiant heating system of low-temperature is economically excellent and is one of the most comfortable systems. The typical examples of this heating system are Ondol and Kang which are traditional and have been used in private houses of Korean peninsula and north eastern China. Therefore, this heating system is widely used as modern engineering system in areas of high degree-day of heating system, though the price of equipment is high.In order to calculate exactly and quantitatively the heating effect on human body which radiant heating system of low-temperature makes in a small scale first we must decide the radiant heat exchange between the human body and surrounding surface, second we have to study quantitatively the effect of heating conduction in Panel Heating Sxstem.This thesis refers to the first of the two. Each close explanation through modelling human body on dot, globe and cylinder, and extraordinary explanation to some distance from radiant sources is suggested in Europe and America so as to suppose rediant heating system of low-temperature in space of big scale, but we can't find exact explanation about radiant heat exchange of human body in space of small scale. Moreover, a few years ago in Japan, the thesis of the same theme as this was published, but it was not practical explanation about the radiant heat exchange in unconditional room because of omitting the calculation of effective radiation area of human body and simplifying the equation.In this thesis, first of all, there is summarizing the radiant heat exchange theory which is grounded on configuration factor and the reciprocity theorem between the human body and surrounding surfaces. Next I graphically present each numerical value after calculating the configuration factor and effective radiation area in ways of exact laboratory equipment and laboratory method. Finally the Radiant Heat Exchange can be calculated in conception of shape Area Factor. The achivement of this study is the suggestion of the exact and practical explanation between each faces in right hexahedron and human body, from small scale to big scale.Nest time, I will study the heat exchange when the degree of clothing a varies.
