This study aims at finding some coherent systems in the architecture of Tongdo-sa temple, namely Architectural Systems.Totality of any architecture could be revealed more precisely through the analysis of built-in architectural systems in four dimensions of the architecture.Four dimensions and sub-systems in them are as follow;1.Space : Mass, Enclosure, Path, Axis, Area2.Meaning : Place, Direction, Territory3.Communication: Architectural View, World Veiw, Value System4.Time : Absolute and relative time, Temporal timeThe result shows the architecture of Tongdo-sa temple could be interpreted as having coherent architectural systems of the above. |
