Abstract The modified Portland Cement(ACPC) which is treated with Asphalt and Carbon black and it's concrete were studied on the some physical and chemical properties, such as setting time, shrinkage, durabilities, etc., and compared with those of Ordinary Poreland Cement(OPC) and OPC concrete. The experimental results are summarized as follows.1.The initial and final setting time of ACPC and ACPC concrete are delayed about 20 minutes and 1hour, respectively, than those of OPC and OPC concrete.2.The plastic shrinkage during 5 hours from concrete mixing and the bleeding of ACPC fresh concrete are smaller about 40-50% than those of OPC fresh concrete. However, the plastic shrinkage in 6hours and the drying shrinkage of ACPC concrete are larger than those of OPC concrete, but crack is not formed.3.The resistance to the freezing and thawing of ACPC concrete is more increased than that of OPC concrete.4.The carbonation resistance of ACPC concrete in the atmosphere is developed 3-6times than that of OPC concrete.
