A study on the Design Method of Apartment Housing as `Defensible Space` for Anti-Crime |
| Abstract |
It has been recognized that more reasonable designs require human aspects of urban residential envirronment.Social needs for safe and defensible spaces have been identified as well, partly based on high crime occurence to entreat the residents of high-density apartment housing clustered in Seoul. Through a survey of the occurences and the worries of crime, generated from some questionarries and answers, such problems could be improved by taking account of the "defensible space."This study aims at proposing of safety criteria for multiple residential housing to avoid lacking in prepartion of defensible space for anti-crime, though so many environmental factors mighit be involved in defining the surrounding conditions as the ultimate design goal. |
