Steady-State Thermal Performance of Sliding Windows |
Abstract |
The heat gain and loss through the window of building is greater than through any other component of building. So, the thermal performance of window is important in energy-conservation and environmental design of room. The property of heat flow through window is complex because window is composed of different materials(window-pane and frame) and heat loss by infiltration. This paper deal with the test for steady-state thermal performance of sliding glass widow and analysis of the results.Overall thermal transmission coefficient including heat flow by infiltration was average 6.0kcal/m2hC of single window and average 3.5Kcal/m2hC of double window. The effect of infiltration is significant in the thermal performance of window. The measured thermal performance of some windows is presented. |
