A Study on the Idea of Korean Architectural History Before 1945 |
| Abstract |
This paper is an attempt to deal comprehensively with all the various theories Ideas which, during the course of the last two hundred years, have made contemporary architectural history what is it today. Idea of architectural History in Korea had it's roots in two primary sources. Firstly, classicalism which can be found in raw materials of Cho Sun Dynasty's construction Document. Secondly, positivism which affected from Korean, Japanies scholars before 1945.Nowadays, the two traditions appears to have been largely seperate.With these facts and with the inner development of methodology in Korean architectural history, we shall be concern with these subjects. |
