A Study on the Determination of Fracture Energy of Concrete |

	| Abstract |
The significance of the fracture energy G in the strength of concrete structures in discussed and it is shown that G is a material property which may be as important as strength properties, e.g., compressive strength f'c, tensile strength f't or elastic modulus Ec. A new model for G is derived using the generalized size effect law, and compares with the current BKP(Bazant-Kim-Pfeiffer) model. |
