Abstract Architectural design of today with which satisfies a single building only brings on some tomorrow's serious problems of environmental pollusion. The second and third building or every other buildings that surround the first main one will cause some new environmental problems by inter-functional/spatial relationships. And, therefore, a new design process or techniques should be developed for total enviromnent solusion. The aim and method of this study is to define the characteristics and the field scope or environment design on the basis of theoritical design methodology, to systematize a new design process, and then to develop a new model diagram. In order to accomplish this study a great much of problem analysis and examines were followed by some research for existing environmental design process and techniques.By the result of this study a new proposal is made as followings;1)As shown in figure (2)enviromental design factors should by systematically be classified with two different kinds of site planning and building design, according to the meaning of environmental elements and their cooperative relationships, which include again natural/cultural factors in the site and visual/facility factors in the building respectively.2)A total environmental design process should be systematized by environmental planning techniques, environmental design process and enviromnetal development planning process, as indicated respectively in figure (3),(4) and (5).
