| Abstract |
MIN-KA(vernacular houses) is a important relic which represents dweller's life, culfure, and architectural form. So researching the MIN-KA helps to study the character of vernacular houses and establish the modern houses' original pattern. This study is the field survey and analytical research on the MIN-KA in Chonnam region. And these MIN-KA's were built before 1910. This study aims at investigating the architectural characteristics and backrounds of MIN-KA. This study was focused on1) the floor plan type 2) the building location 3) the material and structure4) the space utilization and scale 5) the outdoor living. |
