| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to verify the architectural characteristics and historical changing process of Confucian Schools and Seowon Buildings in Kyonggido, and to provide general architectural data of those buildings with some of architectural drawings propared by actual field investigation and servey measurement.Even though there are so many remains of Confucian Schools and Seowon Buildings in Korea, a few actual measurement surveys and general investigations have been carried out.Through this survey, detailed field investigation was made on Confucian Schools and Seowon Buildings in Kyonggido Province and general interpretations of architectural characteristics for the building was intended.This paper include following topics of introduction, Origin and Development of Confucian Schools and Seowon Buildings in Korea, Architectural Characteristics and Some of typical drawings and illustrations of the buildings. |
