A Study on the Diversification of Grouped Features of High-rise Apartments |
Abstract |
As the supply of land for multi-family housing approaches its limit in such large cities as Seoul, attempts to build high-rise apartments on sloped sites are being made. But, when closely looked, the layout patterns of high-rise apartments planned on flat sites are being utilized without modifications. The cityscape aspect of the high-rise apartments on sloped sites, due to its topographic characteristics, should be treated as one of the most important elements, but at present it is almost being ignored. Therefore, in this study, the concept of grouped features were defined with regard to the aspect of cityscape, elements for analyzing the grouped features were extracted, and high-rise apartments which were constructed or under construction in Seoul since 1985 were surveyed as case study. On this basis of the result of this case study, problems were analyzed and the conceptual patterns which could help to these problems were sought. |
