A Study on the Planning of Modernized Farmhouses |
| Abstract |
The objectives of this study were (1) to analyze how to change the modernized farm houses from the plan of model farmhouse, and(2) to research the function of space through the comparision of inner space usage between traditional and modernized farmhouses. Collecting the floor plan, deepinterview and questionare were used for this study. The result were as follows;residents built the modernized farmhouses based on traditional farmhouses, which consist of fundamental elements such as kunbang, chagunbang, maru, puok and puokbang. Residents considered larger kunbang and maru which were most important factor to plan the modernized house by their needs. There was a functional similarity among the same named spaces which for sleeping, eating, gathering and entertaining for daily life and special occasion in traditional and modernized farmhouses. |
