This paper commences with SI{Structure of(human) Intellect} of Guilford's cubic and a brief outline to AI(Artificial Intelligence) and Expert System.It describes the PREDIKT expert system for kitchen design as an example of architectural design in terms of design diagnosis and design synthesis, and then introduces the HI-RISE expert system for structural design in terms of scope and contest tree.It then discusses the difficulties and the potential for developing an Expert System capable of innovative system. |
