Quantitative Method for Estimating Design Principal Components for Dwelling Unit of Apartment |
| Abstract |
In development of apartment housing schemes it is strongly required to develop the quality of unit floor plan in terms of user comfort and needs. This research examines the physical aspects of dwelling unit plan dealing with 12design variables of design composition elements based on 162 samples which were built during 1970-1985 in Seoul. This study aims to find out the trends of plan composition and design principal componants by the quantitative analysis method for design development. The findings of this research indicate the design principal componants are factors:the size and the space allocation factor. |
