| Abstract |
It is reguired to study how to conserve or presrve the Korean traditional houses in the District of Korean Traditional House in Seoul, which has a history of six hundred years and a sense of place as the capital city of Korea.For the preservation of floor plan of Korean traditional houses, periodical background and existing condition of the District, the characteristics of archetype and variation of floor plan, and causes of variation according to dwelling are analyzed in this thesis.In conclusion, to preserve the Korean traditional houses, outer shape of it should be conserved but inner floor plan of it should be varied to accomodate the modern function. |
