| Abstract |
In general, elementary schools in residential areas have been established as a basic unit of urban area. But the role of elementary schools as neighborhood facilities was not examined in a concrete form in our cities.The purpose of this thesis is to compare each locational patterns of elementary schools in terms of the effects on neighborliness in residential areas. Data is obtained through self-administered questionaires from a sample of 346 household's wives living in Pusan, Korea in May 1987.The sample is divided into six groups in order to find differences regarding the effects of locational patterns of elementary schools on neighborliness. |
