A Study on Transition of Rural Houses in Korea |
| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to understand the transition of rural house in the context of urbanization of rural community in k Korea.The utilized data for this study are derived from field survey in a urban fringe area, "DA-WOON" village and a rural area, "YOUNG-HAE"village. Through comparative analysis with the data, I conclude as followings:Major effects of urbanization process such as population concentration into cities, growth of nonagricultural activities, acculturation by culture and cultural artifacts of City, affect on the spaces and forms of rural houses. It shows the distinctive process switching over of urban houses. |
