A Study on the Vandalism upon User Behaviors in Apartment Houses and Community Facilities. |
| Abstract |
Increasing occurrences of social deviance are likely to generate a pattern of instable urban life. Included in urban crime, Vandalism might be a topic on Architectural /Environmental Design emphasized on Environmental Psychology, Socialogy, and even Building/Community Management.Some illegal behaviors such as paintings, grafitti, scratches, slashes, demages and break-down of certain properties with vicious purpose are often included in those social deviances to be observed for a focused study on the vandalism. For this study, 2 sites were slected as a field survey and 5 housing estates were chosen as a questionaire survey to indentify what happened in the architectural settings-residential buildings and neighborhood community facialities.We intend to represent a design factor in terms of vandalism, which may have influence on the planning/design of housing complex with community services, and even maintenance of them after constanction. |
