A Study on the Radiation Shielding of Building Structures |
Abstract |
The purpose of this paper is to study the radiation shielding of building structures, especially the -ray shielding effect about concrete mix changes. Radiation transmission tests and compressive strength tests were conducted about mud-mat concrete type E(Fc=420kg/cm2) and heavy weight concrete type H(Fc=280kg/cm2).As the result, it was clear that the main factors owing to -ray shielding effect of concrete were density (g/cm3), max, size of coarse aggregate, aggregate ratio of it. And experimental results werecompared with the radiation sheilding formula analysis. |
