A Study on the Present State of Museum in Korea and the Characteristics of Building Typology Thereof |
| Abstract |
When income of the people increases, with more leisure honrs made available, various cultural facilities are bound to increase accordingly. Of late large museums have been being built and opened to the public one after another in Korea, too. In this study, I would like to look for the characteristics and problems with regard to the formation of exhibition spaces, by typology, by means of analyzing the present condition of 17 museums in Korea. I hope the result of this study will help, as basic data, efforts to fix the character of meseums to be built and to conduct a comparative study of museums with examples and precedents of foreign countries. |
