A Study on the Elasto-plastic Behaviours of Braces and Braced Frames |
Abstract |
Bracing system is a useful structure for resisting lateral forces.To investigate the elasto-plastic behaviours of K type tubular steel braced frames with strong beam and no eccentricity, a series of tests are carried out under monotonic loading. The slenderness ratio of braces is main parameter in experiments.Based on the experimental results, we obtain intial stiffness, yielding load, maximum load, energy absorbing capacity and plastic deformation capacity etc. and make a comparative analysis of them in detail.The object of this study is to suggest useful and fundamental data for bracing system design. |
