| Abstract |
This present paper explains the characteristic and the feature of foreigners' residential buildings in their settlements of chemulpo port in Korea's open port.Types of foreigner's residential buildings can be divided into pure residence, residence with shop/mar-ket-place, and so on.The Foreign General Settlement(각국공동거류지) was built up residences and villas which had dissimilar reception space in character.The Special Chiness.Japanese Settlements(청.일전관거류지) were almost built up residences with shop. They differ greatly in the style and the layout of yard, room, stair, entrance.The residence with market-place had warehouse, office, and attachment besides residential function. |
