This paper aims at elucidation the contents and scope of Yin Yang concept in architectural thought throughout the world.1)Various meaning 2)relativity, complementarity and dynamic balance 3)change and transformation, hierarchy and wholeness of Yin Yang aspects shown in the literature of architecture are analyzed.Human life is a harmonious world of all Yin Yang characteristics.The concept of YinYang is also a psychological and physical justification of the architectural space for human life. But it is a underlyin g problem that we do not grasp the very meaning of easy, simple and invariable Yin Yang. |
