Abstract In this study as a link to lay out a schems for evaluating and controlling the concentration of indoor airbone particles effectively the fundamental characteristics on the concentration of indoor airborne particles of an existing building were investigated and analyzed. As the result, the concentrationof airborne particles of 0.3-0.5um in diameter is being constant and particles of 0.5-10.0um air influenced by activity level of occupied human beings. During the day, the particles of size 0.5-1.0um and over 10um posess high rate of occupation in indoor volume concentraion whereas the particles of size 0.3-0.5um occupies a high rate of 50% during the night. the equation which calculates weight concentration from the number of particles is judged to be most appropriate when its correction factor K is 4(g/cm3). Although large amounts of particles smaller than 0.5um exist indoor, its effect on weight concentration showed to be low levels.
