Title Compact Compression Tests for the Determination of Concrete Fracture Energy

Abstract This paper descirbes the posibility of the compact compression test specimen for determining the fracture energy of concrete. The experimental and numerical study were conducted for the compact compression test specimen and the three-point bending test specimen to compare with the results. BKP method and modified BKP method were used to evaluate the fracture energy of concrete from test results. The results show that the fracture energy of the compact compression test is about 60% of the three-point bending test using. BKP, and modified BKP method shows slightly improved value than BKP method.
