| Abstract |
A historical review over various aesthetic concepts in Western Architecture from Greece to Present has been made in order to get some insight over the principles or problems of architectural evaluation.Although the technical problems of aesthetics could not be touched, some basic problems such as modernity, regionality and lasting quality as foundation of aesthetic evaluation has been discussed.They can be considered only if the architectural work gives enough aesthetic experience, and be judged within the larger urban context. |
