| Abstract |
It is of critically importance to determine the wind pressure coefficient in computing wind forces, because in high-rise buildingthe effect of wind pressure is too crucial to be disregarded.The purpose of this study is to demonstrate reasonable applications of pressure coefficients and to represent basic testing results acquired by wind tunnerl tests. The results are as follows:There are places where the pressure coefficient has in every direction minus values and advese wind occurs. In oblique sides the wind pressure coefficient get locally large values. In many case positive pressures and negative pressures meet on the oblique side, in some cases, however, the wind flow diagonally to the building that positive pressure and negative pressures occur concurrently for one face of the building. |
