Thermal Comfort Criteria for Korean People in Ondol Heating System. |
| Abstract |
Most of Korean people are living on the floor heated by the Ondol heating system which is a kind of radiant heating system. In this system, human body is more affected by radiation and conduction comparing with other system, so called, radiation or convection heating system. Because of the differences of heating system and life style, there are some differences of thermal sensation between Korean and other country's people.The purpose of this study is to suggest the appropriate comfort criteria for Korean people in Ondol heating system. The contents of this study are as followings, 1) Spatial distributions of thermal conditions are measured 2) Thermal sensation vote of residents is taken in order to investigate the relation between thermal condition and human thermal sensation 3) The ranges of thermal comfort are analyzed by globe temperature and floor temperature. |
