Abstract Traditional Ondol has been used since we used the heating system and will be used continuously. It is worthy of knowing about the structure which enheightens the temperature of floor surface. In this study model experiment is used to reveal the charcteristics by the inclination of flue bottom and the type of exhaust.The result of experiment is as follows. Thermal efficieny increases as smaller the inclination of flue bottom becomes and uniformity of the temperature increases as larger the inclination of flue bottom becomes. The exhaust fan is effective for thermal efficiency and the natural convection is recommendable for uniformity of the temperature. The exhaust fan accelerates the verocity of flow and enlarges the effect of cavity.
