Abstract |
When the frame analogy method is considered in the analysis of coupled shear wall, the excessive increase of stiffness in the finite end joint of coupling beam leads to significant numerical error in the computer solution.Therefore, this paper introduces beam element stiffness matrix with finite end joint to eliminate this numerical error and to describe more exactly the behavior of coupling beam. This paper is compared with other methods and the applied scope of this method is shown as the depth of coupling beam varies by the several factors. |
